Make the tool as shown in the figure, and remove the weatherstrip from the centre pillar and the door panel.

caution When a waterproof film is applied, guide the butyl rubber tape under the inner panel drain hole.
Apply butyl rubber tape to the waterproof film as shown, and apply the film to the panel.
Butyl rubber tape: 3M ATD Part number 8625 or equivalent
