Code No. C1381: G-sensor (output error, seizure)
OPERATION
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION
- The input voltage of ASTC-ECU is normal, but the G-sensor output is more
than specified value when the vehicle is stopped.
- The input voltage of ASTC-ECU is normal, but the G-sensor outputs nothing during
the time form the vehicle driving at the vehicle speed of 30 km/h or more to the vehicle
stop.
- The input voltage of ASTC-ECU is normal, but the acceleration output when the vehicle
is driving at the speed of 10 km/h or more is abnormal.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of G and yaw rate sensor
- Damaged wiring harness or connector
- Malfunction of the hydraulic unit assembly (integrated with ASTC-ECU)
DIAGNOSIS |
STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics. |
STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset. |
(2)Erase the diagnosis code. (3)Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h or more for 5 seconds or more. (4)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position. (5)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. (6)Check if the diagnosis code is set. (7)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position. Q.
Is code No.C1381 set?Replace the G and yaw rate sensor.Then go to Step 3.The procedure is complete. |
STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset. |
Check again if the diagnosis code is set. (1)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. (2)Erase the diagnosis code. (3)Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h or more for 5 seconds or more. (4)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position. (5)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. (6)Check if the diagnosis code is set. (7)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position. Q.
Is code No.C1381 set?Replace the hydraulic unit assembly (integrated with ASTC-ECU). Then go to Step

Check again if the diagnosis code is set. (1)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. (2)Erase the diagnosis code. (3)Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h or more for 5 seconds or more. (4)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position. (5)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. (6)Check if the diagnosis code is set. (7)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position. Q.
