REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION



caution
  • When the throttle body assembly is replaced, initialise the learned value using M.U.T.-III (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions before Service, and Initialisation Procedure of MPI Engine Learned Value ).
  • Never loosen the screw fixing the throttle body assembly resin cover. If the screw is loosened, the sensor incorporated in the resin cover is misaligned and the throttle body assembly does not work normally.
Pre-removal operation
  • Engine Coolant Draining (Refer to GROUP 14 - On-vehicle Service, Engine Coolant Replacement ).
  • Air Cleaner Intake Duct Removal (Refer to GROUP 15 - Air Cleaner ).
  • Battery and Battery Tray Removal (Refer to GROUP 54A - Battery ).
  • Intercooler Outlet Air Hose E Removal (Refer to GROUP 15 - Intercooler ).

Post-installation operation
  • Intercooler Outlet Air Hose E Installation (Refer to GROUP 15 - Intercooler ).
  • Battery and Battery Tray Installation (Refer to GROUP 54A - Battery ).
  • Air Cleaner Intake Duct Installation (Refer to GROUP 15 - Air Cleaner ).
  • Engine Coolant Refilling (Refer to GROUP 14 - On-vehicle Service, Engine Coolant Replacement ).

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

Install the throttle body gasket as its projection is in the direction shown.

Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" and then to "LOCK" (OFF) position and hold it for at least 10 seconds.
