REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION <4HN>



Pre-removal Operation
  • Engine Cover Removal (Refer to GROUP 11G - Engine Mechanical ).
  • Alternator and Others Belt Removal (Refer to GROUP 11G - Engine Assembly ).
  • Radiator Condenser Tank and Radiator Condenser Tank Hose Removal (Refer to GROUP 14 - Radiator ).
  • Engine Room Side Cover Removal (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ).

Post-installation Operation
  • Alternator and Others Belt Installation (Refer to GROUP 11G - Engine Assembly ).
  • Alternator and Others Belt Tension Check (Refer to GROUP 11G - On-vehicle Service, Alternator and Others Belt Tension Check ).
  • Engine Room Under Cover Front A, C and Side Cover (RH) Installation (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ).

REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS



<<A>> POWER STEERING OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


1.With the hose installed, remove the power steering oil pump assembly from the bracket.
2.Tie the removed power steering oil pump assembly with a string at a position where it will not interfere with the removal and installation of the alternator assembly.

<<B>>IDLLER PULLEY REMOVAL



1.Press the engine assembly down until the idler pulley appears as shown in the figure to secure a working space.
2.Raise the engine assembly to the original position, and temporarily install the engine mounting bracket.

<<C>> A/C COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


1.With the hose installed, remove the A/C compressor assembly from the bracket.
2.Tie the removed A/C compressor assembly with a string at a position where it will not interfere with the removal and installation of the alternator assembly.

<<D>> ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


Remove the alternator assembly upper front of the engine.
