INHIBITOR SWITCH AND CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT


1.Move the selector lever to the N range.
2.Loosen the adjusting nut so that the manual control lever moves freely.
3.Move the manual control lever to Neutral position.

4.Loosen the inhibitor switch body mounting bolt, and turn the inhibitor switch body so that the hole in the inhibitor switch body flange aligns with the hole on the end of the manual control lever (section A - A on in the figure shown left).
note Insert a Φ5 bar into the aligned holes in the inhibitor switch body flange and on the tip of the manual control lever to position the inhibitor switch body.

caution Be careful that the inhibitor switch body does not move out of the position.
Tighten the inhibitor switch body mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 5.5 ± 1.0 N·m

6.Use the adjusting nut to tighten the transmission control cable to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 9.5 ± 3.5 N·m
7.Make sure that the selector lever is in the N range.
8.Make sure that the transmission-side ranges that are corresponding to the selector lever position operate and function without fail.
