Inspection Procedure 10: Driver’s Door Unlock Sensor does not Work. <LH Drive Vehicles>



caution Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.








PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of the exterior transmitter antenna assembly (driver’s side)
  • Malfunction of the unlock sensor (front door: LH)
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunction of the KOS-ECU

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code



Q. Is the diagnosis code set?





STEP 2. Connector check: C-104 KOS-ECU connector, E-19 Unlock sensor (front door: LH) connector


Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between the C-104 KOS-ECU connector terminal Nos. 24, 36 and the E-19 unlock sensor (front door: LH) connector terminal Nos. 4, 2 and between the E-19 unlock sensor (front door: LH) connector terminal No. 6 and the earth.



  • Check the signal and earth wires for open circuit.
note Before the wiring harness check, check the intermediate connectors C-128 and C-129, and repair if necessary.
