Inspection Procedure 2: The cruise control is not cancelled when the selector lever is moved to the "N" position.




OPERATION


When the selector lever is tilted towards the "N" position, the "N" signal will be sent to the PHEV-ECU.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Check the data list.


Using M.U.T.-III, check the PHEV-ECU data list (Refer to GROUP 54D - data list reference table ).

  • Item No.147: Shift sensor 1
  • Item No.148: Shift sensor 2
  • Item No.149: Select sensor 1
  • Item No.150: Select sensor 2

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2
Check the selector lever-related diagnosis code which is stored in the PHEV-ECU.(Refer to GROUP 54D - Troubleshooting, Diagnosis Code Chart ). Then go to Step 4.

STEP 2. Check the PHEV-ECU diagnosis code.


Using M.U.T.-III, check the selector lever-related diagnosis code which is stored in the PHEV-ECU. (Refer to GROUP 54D - Troubleshooting, Diagnosis Function ).

Q. Is any diagnosis code stored?

Perform troubleshooting of the PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54D - Troubleshooting, Diagnosis Code Chart ). Then go to Step 4.
Go to Step 3

STEP 3. Check the symptom.


Q. Is the cruise control cancelled when the selector lever is moved to the "N" position?

It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54D - PHEV-ECU ). Then go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Check the symptom.


Q. Is the cruise control cancelled when the selector lever is moved to the "N" position?

The procedure is complete.
Return to Step 1.
