Code No.P1566: PHEV-ECU-ACC/FCM ECU Control State Mismatch <ACC>

caution If diagnosis code NO. P1566 is stored in the PHEV-ECU, surely perform CAN bus line diagnosis.
caution Replace ECU after certainly confirming that the communication circuits are normal.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

This diagnosis code is stored when the abnormality below is detected:

note This diagnosis code will be stored when the the ACC ON/OFF switch is turned on while the ASC is activated forcibly.

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the CAN bus system diagnosis.

Using M.U.T.-III, perform CAN bus diagnosis (Refer to GROUP 54C - Explanation About The M.U.T.-III Can Bus Diagnostics ).

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting, Can Bus Diagnostic Table ). Then go to Step 5.

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code.

Confirm the diagnosis code is stored in the ACC/FCM-ECU.

Q. Is diagnosis code stored?

Perform troubleshooting of the adaptive cruise control system (ACC) (Refer to Troubleshooting - Diagnosis Code Chart ).
Go to Step 3

STEP 3. Check the PHEV-ECU diagnosis code.

Using M.U.T.-III, perform PHEV-ECU diagnosis code (Refer to GROUP 54D - Troubleshooting, Diagnosis Function ).

Q. Is any diagnosis code stored?

Perform troubleshooting of the PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54D - Troubleshooting, Diagnosis Code Chart ). Then go to Step 5.
Go to Step 4

STEP 4. Read the diagnosis code.

(1)Use the M.U.T.-III, erase the diagnosis code of the cruise control system.
(2)Turn ON the power supply mode of the electric motor switch, and press the cruise control ON/OFF switch to turn the cruise control system to ON (the cruise control display screen is turned on).
(3)After turning the cruise control system to ON, when 2 minutes or more has elapsed without operating the cruise control switches, read the diagnosis code of the cruise control system (Refer to ).

Q. Is diagnosis code No. P1566 stored?

Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54D - PHEV-ECU ). Then go to Step 5.
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).

STEP 5.

Return to Step 1.
The procedure is complete.
