Code No. U110A PHEV ECU CAN timeout

caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be stored. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
  • If diagnosis codes U0100, U0101, U0114, U0126, U0141, U1004, U110A and U15A0 are stored in ASC-ECU, always diagnose the CAN bus line. If there is any fault in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be stored. In this case, the stored diagnosis code is not highly reliable.
  • Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

This diagnosis code is stored if ASC-ECU cannot receive the signal sent from PHEV-ECU for a certain period.

OPERATION

ASC-ECU communicates with the PHEV-ECU via the CAN bus lines.

PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Malfunction of PHEV-ECU
  • Malfunction of ASC-ECU
  • External noise interference

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis

Use M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ). On completion, go to Step 4.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is stored again.

Q. Is code No. U110A stored?

Go to Step 3.
The procedure is complete.

STEP 3. M.U.T.-III other system diagnosis code

Use M.U.T.-III to check that the diagnosis code is stored in the PHEV-ECU.

Q. Is other diagnosis code stored?

Troubleshoot for the relevant diagnosis code.
Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

Use M.U.T.-III to check if the same diagnosis code (time-out) is stored in the other ECU.

Q. Is any diagnosis code stored?

Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54D - PHEV-ECU ), and then go to Step 5.
NO : The procedure is complete.

STEP 5. Check whether the diagnosis code is stored again.

Erase the diagnosis code.

Q. Is code No. U110A stored?

Replace the hydraulic unit (integrated with ASC-ECU) (Refer to ).
The procedure is complete.
