Inspection Procedure 1: A wireless LAN device cannot communicate with the vehicle (EV remote-ECU) only. (The device can communicate with another device)

caution
  • Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

When a wireless LAN device cannot communicate with the vehicle (EV remote-ECU) ONLY (however, it can communicate with another wireless LAN device), the wireless LAN device has not been registered, the power supply circuit to the EV remote-ECU, the EV remote-ECU or the wireless LAN device itself is defective.
note Use the inquiry blank to confirm the environment where the wireless LAN device is used. Then attempt to communicate with the EV remote-ECU. If you find any faults, follow this procedure.

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check that the M.U.T.-III communicates with this system.

Use the M.U.T.-III to check whether the wireless LAN device can communicate with the EV remote-ECU.

Q. Is the communication between M.U.T.-III and EV remote-ECU possible?

Go to Step 2

Repair the power supply circuit to EV remote-ECU. Refer to .

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

Check if diagnosis code is stored in the EV remote-ECU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code stored?

Troubleshoot the EV remote-ECU. Refer to .

This diagnosis is complete.
