PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.

Repair the CAN bus line.

STEP 2. REMCU connector, rear motor connector check


Visually check them for damage or water ingress.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.

Replace the connector.

STEP 3. Resolver resistance check


(1)Disconnect the REMCU and the rear motor connectors.
(2)Measure the resistance between the rear motor connector terminals.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.

Go to Step 5.

STEP 4. Check the wiring harness wires between the REMCU connector and the rear motor connector for short to earth or open circuit.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.

Replace the harness. Then go to Step 6.

STEP 5. Check whether the diagnosis code is stored again.


Check again if the diagnosis code is stored in the REMCU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
(3)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: OFF
(4)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
(5)Drive the vehicle.
(6)Check if the diagnosis code is stored.

Q. Is diagnosis code stored?

Replace the Rear Motor. (Refer to .) Then go to Step 6.

Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).

STEP 6. Check whether the diagnosis code is stored again.


Check again if the diagnosis code is stored in the REMCU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
(3)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: OFF
(4)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
(5)Drive the vehicle.
(6)Check if the diagnosis code is stored.

Q. Is diagnosis code stored?

Return to Step 1.

This diagnosis is complete.
