PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the high-voltage terminal.

danger Carry out the check on the high-voltage circuit while reading carefully the precautions on handling a high-voltage vehicle. (Refer to .)
danger Wear the specified protection equipment during the check.
(1)Shut down the high voltage. (Refer to .)
(2)Check that the following cable is tightened to the specified torque.

  • Rear motor cable connection (Refer to , .)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.

Tighten the rear motor cable to the specified torque. (Refer to , .) Then go to Step 4.

STEP 2. Diagnosis code recheck

Check whether the REMCU stores a diagnosis code again.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
(3)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: OFF
(4)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
(5)Drive the vehicle.
(6)Check if the diagnosis code is stored.

Q. Is diagnosis code stored?

Replace the REMCU. (Refer to .) Then go to Step 3.

Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).

STEP 3.

Go to Step 4.

This diagnosis is complete.

STEP 4. Checking the insulation resistance in the rear motor

Refer to .

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.

Replace the rear motor. (Refer to .) Then go to Step 6.

STEP 5.

Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).

This diagnosis is complete.

STEP 6.

Return to Step 1.

This diagnosis is complete.
