INSPECTION PROCEDURE 4: The A/C compressor does not stop. (cut in unintentionally)


caution If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be stored. Prior to this diagnosis, always diagnose the CAN bus lines.


PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III service data


Check that the following service data M.U.T.-III display contents are normal. (Refer to .)

  • Item 200: Battery cooling request signal

Q. Is a service data stored?

Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III service data


Check that the following service data M.U.T.-III display contents are normal. (Refer to .)

  • Item 200: Activation request to A/C compressor

Q. Is a service data stored?

Replace the heater controller assembly (A/C-ECU).
Diagnose the ETACS-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54A, Troubleshooting ). Then check the PHEV-ECU. (Refer to GROUP 54D PHEV-ECU Troubleshooting .)

STEP 3. M.U.T.-III service data


Check that the following service data M.U.T.-III display contents are normal.(Refer to .)

  • Item 172: Battery cooling air thermo sensor

Q. Is a service data stored?

Check the drive battery. (Refer to GROUP 54D - Diagnosis code procedure for drive battery ).
