For the PHEV, the following contents are changed based on the 4B1 engine mounted on the OUTLANDER.
Improvement / Additions
Remark
The engine control designed for the PHEV system is used.
For the PHEV, the system is optimized.
The idle speed control is abolished.
For the PHEV, the system is optimized.
The throttle valve control designed for the signal from the accelerator pedal position sensor is changed. That is designed for the torque request from the PHEV-ECU.
For the PHEV, the system is optimized.
The transmission cooperative control is abolished.
For the PHEV, the system is optimized.
The following signals input into or output from the engine-ECU are abolished.

  • Accelerator pedal position sensor (integrated into PHEV-ECU)
  • Alternator FR terminal and, alternator G terminal and alternator L terminal
  • Starter relay
  • A/C compressor relay
For the PHEV, the system is optimized.
The following controls of the engine-ECU are integrated into the PHEV-ECU.

  • Brake override control
  • Generation control for auxiliary battery
  • ECO indicator lamp control
  • A/C compressor contorl
For the PHEV, the system is optimized.
