GENERAL INFORMATION



The MITSUBISHI remote control system, which interconnects the vehicle and a wireless LAN device, allows the driver to control the vehicle remotely.
note
  • The wireless LAN communication corresponds to the global standards "IEEE 802.11 b 2.4 GHz frequency band", which is used for mobile or network communication.
The MITSUBISHI remote control allows the driver to control the timed charging and the remote climate control remotely by using the wireless LAN device which has been registered in the EV remote-ECU. Moreover, the driver can also make other confirmations or settings.
note On some wireless LAN devices, details of the shown screens may be different due to periodic update.

Component name
Functional description
MMCS (multivision display)
Shows a vehicle information, and allows the driver to carry out timed charging, remote climate control, and customisation.
A/C-ECU
Controls the air conditioner. Receives a remote climate control request from the EV remote-ECU.
Rear window defogger
Clears fog and frost from the windshield.
On board charger/DC-DC converter (OBC)
Charges the battery.
PHEV-ECU
Communicates with the A/C-ECU, the OBC and the ETACS-ECU in accordance with the signals received from the EV remote-ECU, and then sends the result to the EV remote-ECU.
EV remote-ECU (including external antenna)
Communicates with the MMCS, the A/C-ECU, the OBC, the PHEV-ECU and the ETACS-ECU in accordance with the signals received from a wireless LAN device, and then sends the result to the wireless LAN device.
ETACS-ECU
Sends all the ON/OFF signals of all the door switches, the headlamps, the position lamps, and the rear defogger.
Wireless LAN device (smartphone { Android, iOS }, iPad, iPod touch, etc)
Communicates with the EV remote-ECU via it external antenna to allow the driver to carry out timed charging, remote climate control and various operation.
