Inspection Procedure 4: Abnormally of the WCM power supply and earth circuits.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Damaged wiring harness and connectors
- Malfunction of WCM
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Connector check: C-09 WCM connector
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 2. Voltage measurement at the C-09 WCM connector.
| (1)Disconnect the connector and measure the resistance at the wiring harness side. |
| (2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. |
| (3)Measure the voltage between the C-09 WCM connector terminals No. 7, 8 and the body
earth. OK: System voltage |
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 3. Check the wiring harnesses between the C-09 WCM connector terminal No. 7, 8 and the fusible link 34 <4A9, 4B1> or 44 <4N1>, 36 <4A9, 4B1> or 38 <4N1>.
- Check the power supply line for open circuit.
| note | Before checking the wiring harnesses, check the C-406, C-408 and C-417 ETACS-ECU connectors,
C-04 joint connector (2), and repair if necessary. |
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 4. Resistance measurement at the C-09 WCM connector.
| (1)Disconnect the connector and measure the resistance at the wiring harness side. |
| (2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. |
| (3)Measure the resistance between the C-09 WCM connector terminal No. 4 and the body
earth. OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less) |
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between the C-09 WCM connector terminal No. 4 and the body earth.
- Check the earth wires for open circuit.
| note | Before checking the wiring harnesses, check the C-01 earth joint connector, C-108 joint
connector (4), and repair if necessary. |
Q.
Is the check result normal?
