caution Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of the outside transmission antenna assembly (tailgate)
  • Malfunction of the tailgate lock release handle (open switch)
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunction of the KOS-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code



Q. Is the diagnosis code set?





STEP 2. Connector check: C-10 KOS-ECU connector, G-07 tailgate lock release handle connector


Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between the C-10 KOS-ECU connector terminal No. 11 and the G-07 tailgate lock release handle connector terminal No. 1.



  • Check the signal wire for open and short circuit.
note Before the wiring harness inspection, inspect G-23 intermediate connector, and repair them if necessary.
