DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code



Q. Is the diagnosis code set?





STEP 2. Connector check: C-203 combination meter connector


Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 3. Voltage measurement at the C-203 combination meter connector


(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2)Measure the voltage between the C-203 combination meter connector terminal No. 1 and the body earth.
OK: System voltage

Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 4. Check the wiring harness between the battery (fusible link No. 36) and the C-203 combination meter connector terminal No. 1.



note Before the wiring harness check, check the joint connector C-102, ETACS-ECU connectors C-406 and C-417, and repair them if necessary.

Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 5. Voltage measurement at the C-203 combination meter connector


(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(3)Measure the voltage between the C-203 combination meter connector terminal No. 2 and the body earth.
OK: System voltage

STEP 8. Resistance measurement at the C-203 combination meter connector


(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2)Measure the resistance between the C-203 combination meter connector terminal No. 13 and the body earth.
OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)

STEP 9. Wiring harness check between the C-203 combination meter connector terminal No. 13 and the C-01 earth joint connector terminal No. 8.
