TROUBLE JUDGEMENT



PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of meter information switch
  • Malfunction of combination meter

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Connector check: C-34 meter information switch connector


Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 2. Meter information switch check



Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 3. Resistance measurement at the C-34 meter information switch connector


(1)Disconnect the meter information switch connector, and then measure at the wiring harness side.
(2)Measure the resistance from C-34 meter information switch connector terminal No. 4 to body earth.
OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)

Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 4. Check the wiring harness between the C-34 meter information switch connector terminal No. 4 and the C-01 earth joint connector terminal No. 11.



note Before the wiring harness check, check the joint connector C-108, and repair them if necessary.

STEP 5. Connector check: C-203 combination meter connector


Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 6. Check the wiring harness between the C-203 combination meter connector terminal No. 3 and the C-34 meter information switch terminal No. 1.



Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 7. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.



(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(3)Check if diagnosis code is set.
