PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of the front door lock actuator (driver’s side)
  • Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1.Connector check: F-14 <LH drive vehicles> or F-06 <RH drive vehicles> front door lock actuator (driver’s side) connector

STEP 2. Front door lock actuator (driver’s side) check

STEP 3. Resistance measurement at the F-14 <LH drive vehicles> or F-06 <RH drive vehicles> front door lock actuator (driver’s side) connector


(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2)Measure the resistance between the F-14 front door lock actuator (driver’s side) connector terminal No. 6 and the body earth. <LH drive vehicles>
OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)
(3)Measure the resistance between the F-06 front door lock actuator (driver’s side) connector terminal No. 9 and the body earth. <RH drive vehicles>
OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)

STEP 4. Wiring harness check between the F-14 <LH drive vehicles> or F-06 <RH drive vehicles> front door lock actuator (driver’s side) connector terminal No. 6 <LH drive vehicles> or 9 <RH drive vehicles> and the body earth



note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector C-224 <LH drive vehicles> or C-211 <RH drive vehicles>, and repair if necessary.

STEP 5. Connector check C-411 ETACS-ECU connector

STEP 6. Wiring harness check between the F-14 <LH drive vehicles> or F-06 <RH drive vehicles> front door lock actuator (driver’s side) connector terminal No. 8 <LH drive vehicles> or 7 <RH drive vehicles> and the C-411 ETACS-ECU connector terminal No. 22.



note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector C-225 <LH drive vehicles> or C-212 <RH drive vehicles>, and repair if necessary.
