caution Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM




  • Ignition key reminder function
  • Central door locking
  • Keyless entry system
  • Ignition key cylinder illumination lamp
  • Room lamp

PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of the key reminder switch
  • Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Connector check: C-307 key reminder switch connector


Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 2. Check the key reminder switch.



Q. Is the check result normal?





STEP 3. Resistance measurement at the C-307 key reminder switch connector


(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2)Measure the resistance between the C-307 key reminder switch connector terminal No. 4 and the body earth.
OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)

STEP 4. Wiring harness check from C-307 key reminder switch connector terminal No. 4 to C-01 earth joint connector terminal No.11.



note Before the wiring harness check, check the joint connector C-108, and then repair that if necessary.
