Code No.U0215 P/W SW (DR) LIN timeout
| caution | Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the communication
circuit is normal. |
JUDGMENT CRITERIA
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Faulty power window main switch
- Malfunction of the LIN bus
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Connector check: C-411 and C-415 ETACS-ECU connector, F-13 power window main switch connector
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 2. Resistance measurement at the F-13 power window main switch connector
| (1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side. |
| (2)Measure the resistance between the F-13 power window main switch connector terminal
No. 10 <LHD> or terminal No. 9 <RHD> and the body earth. OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less) |
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 3. Wiring harness check from F-13 power window main switch connector terminal No. 10 <LHD> or terminal No. 9 <RHD> to body earth
| note | Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector C-224 <LHD> or
C-211 <RHD>, and repair if necessary. |
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 4. Voltage measurement at the F-13 power window main switch connector.
| (1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side. |
| (2)Ignition switch: ON position |
| (3)Measure the voltage between the F-13 power window main switch connector terminal
No. 5 <LHD> or terminal No. 4 <RHD> and the body earth. OK: System voltage |
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 5. Wiring harness check between the F-13 power window main switch connector terminal No. 5 <LHD> or terminal No. 4 <RHD> and the C-415 ETACS-ECU connector terminal No. 10
| note | Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector C-224 <LHD> or
C-211 <RHD>, and repair if necessary. |
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 6. Check the wiring harness wires between C-411 ETACS-ECU connector terminal No. 1 and F-13 power window main switch connector terminal No. 7.
| note | Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector C-225 <LHD> or
C-212 <RHD>, and joint connector C-102, and repair if necessary. |
Q.
Is the check result normal?

STEP 7. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
| (1)Erase the diagnosis code. |
| (2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position. |
| (3)Check if diagnosis code is set. |
Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?
