Code No.B1519: SRS-ECU connector lock out of order








TROUBLE JUDGEMENT




PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Damaged connectors
  • Malfunction of the SRS-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Connector lock check: B-111, B-112 and B-113 SRS-ECU connectors.


(1)Check that the negative battery auxiliary terminal is disconnected. If the negative battery auxiliary terminal is connected, disconnect it.
(2)Disconnect the B-111, B-112, B-113 SRS-ECU connectors and then reconnect them.
(3)Connect the negative auxiliary battery terminal.
(4)After erasing the diagnosis code memory, check the diagnosis code again.
(5)Disconnect the negative auxiliary battery terminal.
(6)After erasing the diagnosis code memory, check the diagnosis code again.
(7)Disconnect the negative auxiliary battery terminal.

Q. Is diagnosis code B1519 set?

Go to Step 2
The procedure is complete. It is assumed that diagnosis code B1519 set as connectors B-111, B-112 and B-113 were engaged improperly.

STEP 2. Check at B-111, B-112 and B-113 SRS-ECU connectors


(1)Disconnect B-111, B-112 and B-113 SRS-ECU connectors.

(2)Check the connector lock switch terminal inside the harness side connector for improper contact or deformation.

Q. Are the SRS-ECU connectors B-111, B-112 and B-113 in good condition?

Go to Step 3

Replace the B-111, B-112 and B-113 SRS-ECU connector .

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Q. Is diagnosis code B1519 set?

Replace the SRS-ECU (Refer to ).
An intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
