REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION



caution
  • Before removing the steering wheel and driver’s air bag module assembly, refer to GROUP 52B - Service Precautions and Driver’s Air Bag Module Clock Spring .
Pre-removal Operation
  • Removal of Under cover, Steering column cover (Refer to GROUP 52A - Instrument Panel Assembly )
  • Removal of Clock Spring, Steering Column Switch Assembly (Refer to GROUP 37 - Steering Shaft and GROUP 52B - Air Bag Module and Clock Spring )

Post-installation Operation
  • Installation of Clock Spring, Steering Column Switch Assembly (Refer to GROUP 37 - Steering Shaft and GROUP 52B - Air Bag Module and Clock Spring )
  • Installation of Under cover, Steering column cover (Refer to GROUP 52A - Instrument Panel Assembly )

REMOVAL SERVICE POINT



<<A>> STEERING LOCK CYLINDER REMOVAL


1.Insert the key into the steering lock cylinder, and turn the electric motor key to the ACC position.

2.With using a cross-headed screw driver (small) or similar items to press in the lock pin, remove the electric motor key, and then remove the steering lock cylinder.
