Code No. C200A: Brake electric vacuum pump main relay coil (VP)

BRAKE VACUUM GENERATION SYSTEM CIRCUIT

OPERATION

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

  • After the electric motor switch is set to the ON position, if the low voltage level of the excitation coil monitor for the brake electric vacuum pump main relay continues before the brake electric vacuum pump main relay is set to on, the diagnosis code No. C200A will be set.
  • While the brake electric vacuum pump main relay is set to on, if the high voltage level of the excitation coil monitor for the brake electric vacuum pump main relay continues, the diagnosis code No. C200A will be set.

PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Malfunction of the brake electric vacuum pump main relay
  • Malfunction of the brake electric vacuum pump relay box
  • Damaged wiring harness or connector(s)
  • Malfunction of the EV-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Measure the voltage at A-103X brake electric vacuum pump main relay (brake electric vacuum pump relay box) connector.

(1)Remove the brake electric vacuum pump main relay, and measure the voltage at the wiring harness side.
(2)Turn the electric motor switch to the "ON" position.
(3)Measure the voltage between the A-103X brake electric vacuum pump main relay (brake electric vacuum pump relay box) connector terminal No. 3 and the body earth.
OK: Battery voltage
