Code No. P1B1B Brake pedal stroke sensor power circuit

BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR CIRCUIT

OPERATION

The brake pedal stroke sensor is supplied with the 5-V power from the EV-ECU.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

  • If the brake pedal stroke sensor power supply voltage of 4.7 V or less or 5.3 V or higher continues, the diagnosis code No. P1B1B will be set.

PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Wiring harness or connector fail
  • Brake pedal stroke sensor malfunction
  • EV-ECU malfunction

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Voltage measurement at the B-121 brake pedal stroke sensor connector

(1)Disconnect the B-121 brake pedal stroke sensor connector, and then measure the voltage at the harness connector side.
(2)Turn the electric motor switch to the "ON" position.
(3)Measure the voltage between the B-121 brake pedal stroke sensor terminal No.1 and the body earth.
OK: 4.9 to 5.1 V
