DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Malfunction of the voltage sensor (MCU)
  • Low main battery level
  • Malfunction of the main battery assembly (contactor)
  • Malfunction of the MCU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. ?Check whether the diagnosis code is set.

Check if the diagnosis code No. P0ABA for other systems is set to the MCU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Carry out troubleshooting for the diagnosis code No. P0ABA. (Refer to .)
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Use M.U.T.-III to confirm a diagnosis code of other systems.

Check if the diagnosis code is set to the EV-ECU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Carry out troubleshooting for the EV-ECU. (Refer to .) Then go to Step 3.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check the main battery energy level gauge

Check the battery level status with the main battery level indicator in the combination meter.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Charge the main battery. Then go to Step 5.

STEP 4. M.U.T.-III data list

Check the charging rate of the main battery in the BMU service data (refer to ).
Data list
  • Item No. 1 : State of charge (for control)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Charge the main battery. Then go to Step 5.

STEP 5. Diagnosis code recheck

Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the MCU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Set the electric motor switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
(3)Set the electric motor switch to the LOCK (OFF) position, and start the electric motor unit.
(4)Run the vehicle.
(5)Check if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Return to Step 1.
The diagnosis is complete.
