When the electric motor unit is started, the READY signal sent from the EV-ECU is input to the EPS-ECU, and the power assist becomes available.
STEERING WHEEL OPERATION
When the steering wheel is operated, the torque sensor integrated into the gear box detects the steering torque, and outputs the voltage signal to the EPS-ECU according to the steering force.
EPS-ECU outputs the control current to the motor in proportion to the voltage signal.
The motor outputs the rotational torque (assist torque) in proportion to the current intensity and assists the power steering gear.
