POWER WINDOWS

  • Adoption of power window timer function
  • Adoption of power window lock switch

CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION

POWER WINDOW SWITCH

  • The power window switch has employed the push-pull operation method to enhance safety. To close a door window glass, push in the switch knob, and to open, pull it up. The one-touch opening/closing mechanism has been adopted to the driver’s power window switch to fully open any door window glass (driver’s side) in a single operation.
  • The power window switch has a waterproofing structure that prevents water such as rain drops from entering via the upper side. If water should enter, it is drained through the hole located on the lower area of the switch. No water will be accumulated.

POWER WINDOW TIMER FUNCTION

  • The power window can be opened or closed after the electric motor switch is turned OFF by the timer function. (The timer operation is cancelled when the driver’s or passenger’s door is opened even before the timer ends.)

  • The ETACS-ECU turns ON the power window relay and the power window switch reception permit signal (signals from ETACS-ECU) with the electric motor switch ON, and even after the electric motor switch is turned OFF, the ETACS-ECU keeps the power window switch reception permit signal ON for approximately 30 seconds to enable the door window operation by the power window switch. The power window relay will be turned OFF 30 seconds after the termination of the reception permit signal. If the driver’s or the front passenger door is opened during timer operation, the reception permit signal is turned OFF at the same time.
