Inspection Procedure 14: Battery Rundown


PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Failed battery
  • Failed alternator
  • Damaged harness (Circuit related to charging system has an open circuit or is grounded)
  • Damaged connector (Circuit related to charging system)

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check battery.

  • Check battery (Refer to GROUP 54A - Battery - On-vehicle Service - Battery Test ).

Q. Is the check result normal?
Check charging system (Refer to GROUP 16 - Charging System - On-vehicle Service - Output Current Test ).
Replace the battery.
