COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
Current trouble
- If ETACS-ECU detects only signals of the power window position sensor 20 times in
succession while the driver’s power window is operating, ETACS-ECU sets the diagnosis
code No. 1002.
- If the diagnosis code No. 1002 is set as past trouble, carry out diagnosis with
particular emphasis on wiring and connector(s) in the CAN bus line. For diagnosis procedures,

).
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the front power window motor (LH)
- Malfunction of the power window main switch
- Damaged harness wires and connectors

STEP 1. Connector check: E-03 power window main switch connector and E-18 front power window motor (LH) connector |

STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between E-03 power window main switch connector terminal Nos.8, 9 and 12 to E-18 front power window motor (LH) connector terminal Nos.6, 2 and 5. |
