Drain groove for the front deck garnish has been established to prevent intrusion of rain to the engine room for draining that to the deck.
The lug has been established on the front end of the front deck garnish (section A in the figure) to prevent water drops inside of the engine room.
The waterproof lip has been established on the end of the hood water strip to block the intruded rain for guiding that to the drain groove inside the front deck garnish.
The front deck garnish and hood are designed flush surface so that snow pushed by wipers can be eliminated smoothly.
