HEADLAMP

HEADLAMP AUTOMATIC-SHUTDOWN FUNCTION <INITIAL CONDITION: WITH FUNCTION>

  • While the headlamp illuminates, turn the ignition switch from ON to OFF and open the driver’s door for 1 seconds or longer, the headlamp and tail lamp are turned off automatically.
note The above control is activated only once after the ignition switch is turned from the "ON" position to the "OFF" position.
note If only the tail lamp illuminates, it is not turned off automatically.
  • While the headlamp illuminates, turn the ignition switch from "ON" to "OFF", and close the driver’s door for 3 minutes or longer, the headlamp and tail lamp are turned off automatically.
  • If the headlamp switch is turned ON while the ignition switch is in the "OFF" position, the automatic-shutdown function does not operate.

note Using a customisation function, the headlamp automatic-shutdown function can be enabled or disabled (Refer to ).

HIGH-BEAM INDICATOR

The ETACS-ECU outputs the high-beam indicator ON signal in synchronization with the high-beam headlamp operation.

DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP FUNCTION

FLASHER TIMER FUNCTION

TURN-SIGNAL LAMP CONTROL <INITIAL CONDITION: OPERATES WHEN IGNITION SWITCH IS "ON".>

When the turn-signal lamp switch is ON (LH or RH) with the ignition switch ON, the turn-signal lamp output (flash signal) is turned ON.
If the lamp bulb of the front or rear turn-signal lamp has burned out, the flashing speed becomes faster to alert the driver that the lamp bulb has burned out.
note Using the customisation function, the operating conditions of turn-signal lamp function can be adjusted (Refer to ).

COMFORT FLASHING FUNCTION <INITIAL CONDITION: WITHOUT FUNCTION>

When the turn-signal lamp switch is turned ON momentarily (0.4 second or less) while the ignition switch is in the "ON" position, the turn-signal lamp (selected side) flashes 3 times.
note Using a customisation function, the comfort flashing function can be enabled or disabled (Refer to ).

TURN-SIGNAL LAMP INDICATOR

ETACS-ECU outputs the turn-signal lamp indicator ON signal in synchronization with the turn signal lamp illumination.

HAZARD WARNING LAMP CONTROL

When the hazard lamp switch input signal turning from OFF to ON is detected, the flashing states turns over by the signal (When the hazard lamp is not blinking, it blinks. If it is blinking, it turns off).
note
  1. The push-return switch is adopted for the hazard lamp switch.
  2. Even if the lamp bulb has burned out, the flashing speed of the hazard lamp is not changed.

FRONT FOG LMP

FRONT FOG LAMP CONTROL

FRONT FOG LAMP INDICATOR

ETACS-ECU outputs the front fog lamp indicator ON signal in synchronization with the front fog lamp illumination.

REAR FOG LAMP

REAR FOG LAMP CONTROL

  • If the fog lamp switch is turned ON again while the front fog lamps are ON, the rear fog lamps illuminate. <Vehicles with front fog lamp and rear fog lamp>
  • If the fog lamp switch is turned ON while the headlamps are ON, the rear fog lamps illuminate. <Vehicles without front fog lamp and with rear fog lamp>

REAR FOG LAMP INDICATOR

ETACS-ECU outputs the rear fog lamp indicator ON signal in synchronization with the rear fog lamp illumination.

INTERIOR LAMP

ROOM LAMP DIMMER CONTROL FUNCTION (THE INITIAL CONDITION: 15 SECONDS <vehicles with central door locking system> or 7.5 SECONDS <vehicles without central door locking system>)

  1. When the ignition switch is OFF:
By opening any door, the lamp turns ON (100%), and dims (60%) when the door is closed, then and turns off after 15 seconds <vehicles with central door locking system> or 7.5 seconds <vehicles without central door locking system>.
However, when the ignition switch is turned ON or the door lock is operated, the lamps turn off at that time.
  2. When the ignition switch is ON:
By opening any door, the lamp (100%) turns ON and OFF when the door is closed.
  3. When all doors are closed, and the ignition key is removed <vehicles with keyless entry system>:

By inserting the ignition key again or operating the door lock with the lamp lit, the lamps turns off.
  4. Keyless entry room lamp answerback <vehicles with keyless entry system>:
For easy keyless entry operation check, room lamp flashes once when the door is locked. When the door is unlocked, the lamp lights ON for 15 seconds (100%), and then turns OFF.
note Using the M.U.T.-III customise function, settings for the delayed lamp-off time and the operation times of the keyless entry room lamp answerback can be changed (Refer to ).

IGNITION KEY CYLINDER ILLUMINATION LAMP CONTROL FUNCTION

  1. When the driver’s door is opened or for 30 seconds after the driver’s door is closed, the ignition key cylinder illumination lamp flashes.
  2. Also when the ignition key is removed from the ignition key cylinder, the lamp illuminates for 30 seconds. <vehicles with keyless entry system>
