HOW TO SHIFT LOCK FORCED RELEASE
| If the shift lever cannot be moved from the P position due to discharged battery or similar
reasons, release the shift lock by observing the procedure below. |
| 1.Turn the ignition switch to the position other than the LOCK (OFF) position. |

2.Remove the shift lock forced release switch cover shown in the figure. While pressing
the shift lock forced release switch with a screwdriver or a similar tool, move the selector
lever. |
