Code No.C1362: Abnormal pressure sensor (output error, open or short circuit)

caution If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Diagnose the CAN bus lines before the diagnosis codes (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).

OPERATION

ASTC-ECU monitors the fluid pressure in the hydraulic unit using the incorporated pressure sensor, and adjusts the fluid pressure for the ASC or ATC drive based on this data.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

This diagnosis code is set in the following cases:

  • The deceleration calculated from the output value of the pressure sensor at the vehicle speed of 7 km/h or more is one quarter of the normal value or less than that.
  • The power supply voltage of ASTC-ECU is normal, but the output voltage of the pressure sensor is out of the specified range.

PROBABLE CAUSES

The most likely causes for these diagnosis codes to set are:

  • Damaged wiring harness or connector
  • Malfunction of the hydraulic unit assembly (integrated with ASTC-ECU)

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics.

Use M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ). Then go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.

(1)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(2)Erase the diagnosis code.
(3)Drive the vehicle at 7 km/h or more for 5 seconds or more.
(4)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
(5)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(6)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
(7)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.

Q. Is code No.C1362 set?

Go to Step 3.
The procedure is complete.

STEP 3.

Replace the hydraulic unit assembly (integrated with ASTC-ECU). (Refer to ). Then go to Step 4.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction .)

STEP 4.

Go to Step 1.
The procedure is complete.
