Code No.B1519: SRS-ECU connector lock out of order




DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS




PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Damaged connectors
  • Malfunction of the SRS-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Connector lock check: SRS-ECU connectors C-153, C-154 and C-155. (M.U.T.-III diagnosis code)


(1)Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

(2)Disconnect SRS-ECU connectors C-153, C-154, C-155 and then reconnect them.
(3)Connect the negative battery terminal.
(4)Erase diagnosis code memory, and then check the diagnosis code.

Q. Is diagnosis code B1519 set?

Go to Step 2.

The procedure is complete. It is assumed that diagnosis code B1519 set as connectors C-153, C-154 and C-155 were engaged improperly.

STEP 2. Connector lock check: SRS-ECU connectors C-153, C-154 and C-155.




(1)Disconnect SRS-ECU connectors C-153, C-154 and C-155.
(2)Check the connector lock switch terminal inside the harness side connector for improper contact or deformation.

Q. Are the SRS-ECU connectors C-153, C-154 and C-155 in good condition?

Go to Step 3.

Replace the SRS-ECU connector C-153, C-154 and C-155.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Q. Is diagnosis code B1519 set?

Replace the SRS-ECU (Refer to ).
An intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
