SERVICE MODE

Body type setting ("BODY TYPE" screen): If the incorrect body type is set, the correct possible cruising distance cannot be displayed.
Destination setting ("DESTINATION" screen): If the incorrect destination is set, the freezing mark or the initial value of the compass deviation angle correction cannot be displayed correctly.
Function type reset ("FUNCTION TYPE RESET" screen): If the incorrect model type is set, the drive information and air temperature cannot be displayed correctly.
Delete the compass azimuth circle ("PROF CIRCLE DEL" screen): When the compass display does not work normally even after performing compass calibration, delete the compass azimuth circle, reset the direction display function itself, and set the compass function again.

HOW TO START AND TERMINATE THE SERVICE MODE

If the body type or the destination has not been set when the ignition switch position is changed from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ACC" or "ON" position, the screen of the unset items (in the order of "BODY TYPE" screen, and then "DESTINATION" screen) are displayed. After setting of each item is completed, the display returns to the normal RV meter screen.

HOW TO START THE SERVICE MODE

1.With the ignition switch at the "LOCK" (OFF) position, press the [ADJ] button.

2.With the [ADJ] button being pressed, turn the ignition switch to the "ACC"or "ON" position, and hold that for five seconds or more.

3.The service mode is started, and the "Service Menu" and "Display Setting" screens are displayed.

note

When the [ADJ] button is pressed on the "Display Setting menu" screen, the display is shifted to the "BODY TYPE" screen. After that, each time the [INFO] button is pressed, the following four setting screens change in turn: "DESTINATION" screen, "FUNCTION TYPE RESET" screen, "PROF CIRCLE DEL" screen, and "BODY TYPE" screen.

HOW TO TERMINATE THE SERVICE MODE

When any of the following operations is performed, the service mode is terminated.

Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position to terminate the service mode forcibly.
Press the [INFO] button on the "Display Setting Menu" screen to display the "END" screen. On the "END" screen, press the [ADJ] button to terminate the service mode.

note To return to the "Display Setting Menu" screen from each setting screen, press the [BACK] button.

HOW TO SET THE RV METER

HOW TO SET THE BODY TYPE ("BODY TYPE" SCREEN)

1.Press the [ADJ] button on the "Display Setting menu" screen.

2.The "BODY TYPE" screen is displayed, and the body type currently set is indicated.

note

The set body type is indicated as "TRITON/STRADA/L200" or "PAJERO SPORT/CHALLENGER/NATIVA/MONTERO SPORT".

3.To change the body type, press the [SELECT] button.

4.[Press [→] or [←] button to display "TRITON/STRADA/L200".
5.Press [SET] button to make settings.

6.When the screen returns to the "BODY TYPE" screen, check that the body type is set correctly, and terminate the service mode.

HOW TO SET THE DESTINATION ("DESTINATION" SCREEN)

1.Press the [ADJ] button on the "Display Setting menu" screen.
2.Press the [INFO] button on the "BODY TYPE" screen.

3.The "DESTINATION" screen is displayed, and the destination currently set is indicated.

note

The set destination is indicated as "G·EXP/EU/MMAL" or "DOM".

4.To change the destination, press the [SELECT] button.

5.[Press [→] or [←] button to display "G·EXP/EU/MMAL".
6.Press [SET] button to make settings.

7.When the screen returns to the "DESTINATION" screen, check that the destination is set correctly, and terminate the service mode.

HOW TO RESET THE FUNCTION TYPE ("FUNCTION TYPE RESET" SCREEN)

note

Before resetting the function type reset, check that the power supply systems to the CAN communication line, audio communication line are connected normally in accordance with the vehicle specification. (Because a function type is judged incorrectly if reset is executed with the abnormal connection status.)

1.Press the [ADJ] button on the "Display Setting menu" screen.
2.When the "BODY TYPE" screen is displayed, press the [INFO] button.
3.When the "DESTINATION" screen is displayed, press the [INFO] button.

4.The "FUNCTION TYPE RESET" screen is displayed, and the function type currently set is indicated. To reset the function type, press the [SELECT] button.

note

The function types are indicated by numbers from "1" to "4". ("0" is not set.) They are classified as shown in the table below.

5.When "RESET OK?" is indicated, press the [SET] button.

6.When the screen returns to the "FUNCTION TYPE RESET" screen, check that "RESET 0" is indicated, and terminate the service mode.
7.Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
8.Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.

note

When the ignition switch is turned from "LOCK" to "ON" for the first time after the function type is reset, the centre display automatically judges the status of other ECUs to set the function type.

HOW TO DELETE THE COMPASS AZIMUTH CIRCLE

caution

If the compass azimuth display is not normal, always perform the declination calibration and the compass calibration in the compass setting before deleting the compass azimuth circle. Only if the compass azimuth display is still abnormal and the azimuth display function itself needs to be reset, delete the compass azimuth circle.

note

Always check the declination calibration and carry out the compass calibration after deleting the compass azimuth circle.

5.The "PROF CIRCLE DEL" screen is displayed. To delete the compass azimuth circle data, press the [SELECT] button.

6.When "DELETE OK?" is indicated, press the [SET] button.

7.When the screen returns to the "PROF CIRCLE DEL" screen, terminate the service mode
