IMPACT SAFETY BODY RISE (RISE: Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution)

By integrating the upper and lower of the front pillar hinge reinforcement, the safety upon impact has been improved.
A front floor side sill inner reinforcement, side sill front reinforcement, side sill rear reinforcement, side sill front reinforcement bulkhead, front pillar upper reinforcement, and centre pillar centre reinforcement have been adopted.

The driver’s and passenger’s (front) air bags and seat belt with pre-tensioner have been standard equipped on all vehicles.
The side-airbag or side-airbag and curtain air bag are adopted. <Vehicles with wide fender>.
The passenger’s air bag cut off switch which can enable and disable the passenger air bag has been equipped in the glove box.
For the inflator, the gas which is harmless to the human body has been adopted.

With the ignition key turned ON, the transponder (a small transmitter) integrated in the ignition key transmits its own key ID to the key ring antenna via radio wave.
According to the sent key ID, the immobilizer-ECU controls the engine-ECU only when the sent key ID agrees with the pre-registered one.
The system is designed to be maintenance-free because the power source for the transponder is supplied by the immobilizer-ECU. Two ignition keys are provided, and up to eight keys can be registered to one vehicle as needed. More than one trillion of key ID combinations can be registered, and parts of them are irregularly changed whenever the ignition key is turned ON. This feature prevents code copying, resulting in higher security of the system.
