IMPROVEMENT OF BRAKING PERFORMANCE



  • 10-inch brake booster is installed.
  • 16-inch disc brake is installed on the front wheels in order to achieve stable braking force and good braking feeling.
  • 11.6-inch leading trailing type drum brake is installed on the rear wheels.

IMPROVEMENT IN SAFETY



  • According to the fluctuations in the amount of load, load sensing proportioning valve (LSPV) is adopted to control the brake fluid pressure from the master cylinder fairly and prevent the early-lock of rear wheels, improving the stability during braking. <Vehicles without ABS>
  • Front and rear split (fore-and-aft separated type) brake fluid line is adopted. <Vehicles without ABS>
  • Diagonal split (X-type) brake fluid line is adopted. <Vehicles with ABS>
  • Ventilated discs have been adopted to front brakes to improve anti-fading performance.
  • The brake pedal retreat suppression mechanism that suppresses the retraction of brake pedal surface upon a frontal collision is adopted.
  • Audible wear indicators are used on the front brake pads to warn the driver of wear limit.
