INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

>>A<< THRUST WASHER INSTALLATION
Install thrust washer to crankshaft.
note Note fixing arrangement.

>>B<< BEARING SHELL 3 INSTALLATION
Install bearing shell 3 to crankshaft.
note
  • For bearing cap without oil groove.
  • For cylinder block with oil groove.

>>C<< BEARING SHELL 1, 2, 4 and 5 INSTALLATION
Install bearing shell 1,2,4 and 5 to crankshaft.
note
  • For bearing cap without oil groove.
  • For cylinder block with oil groove.
  • Do not interchange used bearing shells.

>>D<< BEARING CAP INSTALLATION
Install bearing cap.
note
  • Bearing cap 1: Pulley end
  • Bearing cap 3 with recesses for thrust washers.
  • Bearing shell retaining lugs in cylinder block and bearing caps must align.
