1.Start the engine and allow it to warm up until the temperature of the engine coolant
reaches 80 °C to 90 °C.

Use care as engine oil could be hot.

Remove the engine oil filler cap.
|

3.Remove the engine room under cover extension (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ).
|
|
|
4.Remove the engine oil pan drain plug to drain engine oil.
|

5.Install a new engine oil pan drain plug gasket and then tighten the engine oil pan drain
plug to the specified torque. <4A9> Tightening torque: 39 ± 5 N·m
|

6.Install a new engine oil pan drain plug gasket so that it faces in the direction shown
in the illustration, and then tighten the engine oil pan drain plug to the specified torque. <4B10, 4B11-Turbo> Tightening torque: 39 ± 5 N·m

7.Refill with specified quantity of engine oil. <4A9, 4B10>
Specified Engine Oil (ACEA and API classification): ACEA
A1/B1, A3/B3, A3/B4 or A5/B5 API SG or higher Total quantity (Includes volume inside engine oil filter):

SAE 0W-20*, 0W-30, 5W-30, and 5W-40 engine oils can only be used if
they meet ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 or A5/B5 and API SG (or higher) specifications. *: Vehicles with 4A9

8.Refill with specified quantity of engine oil. <4B11-Turbo>

SAE 5W-30, 0W-30, and 0W-40 engine oil can only be used if meets ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 or
A5/B5 and API SM (or higher) specifications.

9.Install the engine oil filler cap. 10.Let the engine run for a few minutes. 11.Stop the engine, and then check the engine oil level using the engine oil level gauge
after a few minutes. 12.Install the engine room under cover extension (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under
Cover ).
