FUNCTION



  • The engine-ECU monitors and checks communication with the TC-SST-ECU.

TROUBLE JUDGMENT


Check Condition
  • Ignition switch is "ON" position.
Judgement Criterion
  • Engine-ECU detects an error in communication between engine-ECU and TC-SST-ECU.
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
  • Engine output is restricted.

PROBABLE CAUSE



  • Failed engine-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

Q. Is diagnosis code of U0101 set?
Perform troubleshooting of TC-SST time-out (Refer to Code No.U0101 TC-SST-ECU Time-out ).
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

  • Confirm the diagnosis code is set from the TC-SST-ECU.

Q. Is diagnosis code set?
Perform troubleshooting of TC-SST system (Refer to GROUP 22E - Diagnosis Troubleshooting <TC-SST> - Diagnosis Code Chart ).
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

  • Reconfirmation of diagnosis code.

Q. Is diagnosis code set?
Replace the engine-ECU.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
