Check Condition
  • Once per driving cycle.
Judgment Criterion
  • The rate of increase of the engine coolant temperature is below threshold for the specified time.


  • The engine coolant temperature is below threshold for the specified time.

FAIL SAFE FUNCTION



  • Engine coolant temperature is recognized as specified temperature.

PROBABLE CAUSE



  • Failed engine coolant temperature sensor
  • Failed electrical harness in engine coolant temperature sensor circuit
