DIAGNOSIS CONTENT



TROUBLE JUDGMENT


Check Condition
  • Ignition switch: ON
  • During start.
  • The average engine speed is above the specified value.
  • The engine is running.
Judgment Criteria
  • Crank angle sensor pulse per engine revolution is different from specified one.


  • Variation of crank angle sensor pulse per engine revolution is too wide.

FAIL SAFE FUNCTION



  • Emergency run through camshaft position signal
  • EGR control is prohibited.
  • Auto-cruise control is prohibited.
  • Smooth running control is prohibited.

PROBABLE CAUSE



  • Failed crank angle sensor
  • Failed crank angle sensor wheel
