AWC PRESSURE SENSOR SYSTEM CIRCUIT




caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines.
  • Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.

OPERATION




DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS




PROBABLE CAUSES



  • AWC pressure sensor malfunction
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of AWC-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics.


Use M.U.T.-III to perform the CAN bus diagnosis.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the CAN bus lines. (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ). After repairing the CAN bus line, go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Q. Is diagnosis code No.C1612 set?

Go to Step 3.
This diagnosis is complete.

STEP 3. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code.


Check if the ACD-related diagnosis code No.C1625 is set. (Refer to ).

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Perform the relevant troubleshooting. Then go to Step 9.
Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. AWC-ECU connector, intermediate connector, AWC pressure sensor connector check: C-44, D-12, F-38


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the defective connector. Then go to Step 9.

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between C-44 AWC-ECU connector terminal No.7 and F-38 AWC pressure sensor connector terminal No.2.


Check the output line for short (for short to the power supply) or open circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Repair the wiring harness. Then go to Step 9.

STEP 6. Check the wiring harness between C-44 AWC-ECUconnector terminal No.8 and F-38 AWC pressure sensor connector terminal No.3.


Check the earth line for open circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 7.
Check D-12 intermediate connector. When no problem is found, repair the wiring harness. Then go to Step 9.

STEP 7. M.U.T.-III data list.


Item No.87: Pressure sensor output voltage (Refer to Data List Reference Table ).

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 8.
Replace the hydraulic unit. (Refer to ). Then go to Step 8.

STEP 8. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Q. Is diagnosis code No.C1612 set?

Replace the AWC-ECU. (Refer to ). Then go to Step 9.
Intermittent malfunction. (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).

STEP 9. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Q. Is diagnosis code No.C1612 set?

Return to Step 1.
