DISASSEMBLY

1.Remove the differential ring gear.

2.Place special tool, Bearing remover (MD998917), remove the tapered roller bearing.

3.Place special tool, Bearing remover (MD998917), the differential ring gear location, and remove the tapered roller bearing.

REASSEMBLY

1.Using special tool, install the tapered roller bearing.

  • Installer cap (MD998812)
  • Installer-100 (MD998813)
  • Installer adapter (MB998827)

2.Using special tools, install the tapered roller bearing.

  • Installer cap (MD998812)
  • Installer-100 (MD998813)
  • Installer adapter (MD998827)

3.Install the differential ring gear to the differential case sub-assembly and tighten the bolts to the specified torque of 106 ± 6 N·m.
