Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the input and output signal circuits are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

If the front passenger’s door window glass exceeds the fully closed position, front power window sub switch sets the diagnosis code No. L0834. And, if the passenger’s door window glass is removed or installed with the power is supplied to the front power window sub switch sets this diagnosis code.

PROBABLE CAUSES

Malfunction of the front power window motor (RH) <LHD>
Malfunction of the front power window motor (LH) <RHD>
Malfunction of the front power window sub switch

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the power window fully closed position

(1)Carry out the learning procedures of the power window fully closed position. Refer to

(2)Recheck if the diagnosis code is set.
..... Erase the diagnosis code.
..... Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
..... Check if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the check result normal?

	The diagnosis is complete.

	Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Diagnosis code recheck

Replace the front power window motor (RH) <LHD> or the front power window motor (LH) <RHD>. Recheck if the diagnosis code is set.

(1)Erase the diagnosis code.

(2)Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.

(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

	Replace the front power window sub switch.

	The diagnosis is complete.
