- Malfunction of the connector [joint connector (CAN3) or shift lever improperly
connected]
- Malfunction of the wiring harness [open circuit between the shift lever
and the joint connector (CAN3), power supply circuit to the shift lever]
- Malfunction of the shift lever

STEP 1. Connector check: C-124 joint connector (CAN3) and C-58 shift lever connector |

Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2. |

Repair the defective connector. |
|
STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between C-58 shift lever connector and C-124 joint connector (CAN3) |
|
| Disconnect shift lever connector and joint connector (CAN3), and check the following wiring
harness for open circuit. |
| (1)The wiring harness between C-58 shift lever connector terminal No.2 and C-124 joint
connector (CAN3) terminal No.7 <CAN_H> OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less) |
| (2)The wiring harness between C-58 shift lever connector terminal No.1 and C-124 joint
connector (CAN3) terminal No.20 <CAN_L> OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less) |

Check the power supply circuit of the shift lever. Refer to GROUP 22E - Troubleshooting <Shift lever>. |

Repair the wiring harness. |
