HEADLAMP AUTOMATIC LEVELLING MOTOR DRIVE TEST


caution
  • The levelling motor drive test of headlamp levelling unit shall be performed with a vehicle at a standstill and the engine stopped. (When a vehicle speed signal is input from the headlamp automatic levelling-ECU, the levelling motor drive test cannot be performed).

1.Using the special tool diagnosis code check harness (MB991529), earth the diagnosis connector terminal No. 1 (diagnosis control terminal).
2.Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3.Turn ON the headlamp switch.
4.Check that the headlamp levelling operates downward for 3 seconds.
note
  • When the levelling of the headlamp faces downward at the time of drive test start, it stays as is.
  • Only one drive test is possible after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
5.Check that the headlamp levelling operates upward for 3 seconds.
