Code No. P0642: Throttle Position Sensor Power Supply


FUNCTION



  • Engine-A/T-ECU checks the throttle position sensor power voltage for abnormal conditions.

TROUBLE JUDGMENT


Check Condition
  • Battery voltage is more than 6.3 V.
Judgement Criterion
  • Throttle position sensor power voltage is less than 4.1 V.

PROBABLE CAUSE



  • Failed engine-A/T-ECU

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

  • Reconfirmation of diagnosis code.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the engine-A/T-ECU.
